The AAEV was created to establish a peer review process that can pre-qualify experienced, technically skilled and creative event videographers for the general public.

To be accepted, applicants submissions must achieves a uniform level of quality derived from standardized ratings of technical skill, creativity, overall impact and presentation. The AAEV will not judge creative style, the value of which will be left up to the consumer to determine on their own. All applicants will receive the review information explaining the reasoning for the decision.

The directory of members will be international in scope with regional listings of AAEV members and their contact information.

There will be an application fee of $85 which will be used facilitate the duplication, shipping and handling of the submissions between Review Board members. There will also be Association dues of $20 per year which will be used to maintain the website and directory.
